WOMAN KNOW YOURSELF ; COURSE 103.

Sincere advise from Ify Nwobosi Anatune to all Ladies and gals !! .......
Women, most of us multi task a lot. So if your Work will allow you the time, please pamper yourself on Sunday, or Weekends, or Work free days. Do something you love that is off work routines. You can Cook a new short recipe, go dancing, catch a film, visit a relaxation or recreation facility, go window shopping, take a long walk, go horse riding, visit family and friends, visit the gym, swim, do other spirts, etc. Create a "me time" to refresh, relax and reflect. This is crutial !!!. Most Men know when to stop Work and take a break, because they listen to their bodies and respond quicker to stress signs from what Researchers have observed.

HAVE YOU NOTICED THAT CHILDREN PLAY WITH HIGH CONCENTRATION?

E - CURRICULUM IN NIGERIA.

ARE WE READY?
E - Curriculum is an excellent idea and a modern technologically driven education Tool via e - platform. But the key question will be ; Is Nigerian educational system and environment ready for it? The issues militating against its usage in Nigeria will include;
Erratic power supply; We know that since the inauguration of the e - curriculum in 2014, that we are still trying to fix our electricity supply chain and this will affect its operation.
Insufficient funds; let us be truthful to ourselves, the budget allocation for Education cannot fund this system and other laudable things we may wish for our education sector.
lack of qualified technicians to install/maintain/repair all gadgets for it; Qualified Nigerian ICT Technicians will rather seek for employment in hi - tech countries where salaries are high, like USA, Australia, etc.
Untrained Teachers who cannot maximize the opportunities provided by the e - curriculum platform; At the moment we still have Teachers who are not ICT compliant especially in our rural areas, in both the public and private schools.
Low public enlightenment and low mass media campaigns; last year I tried to discuss it with about 12 people at different times, only to find out that they were hearing about it from me for the first time !!
lack of sensitization of stakeholders; There is still a disconnect between the major stakeholders in this issue. The Stakeholders are: Government, Teachers, Parents, ICT Experts, ICT Equipment Manufactures, Public Private Partnership Entrepreneur Investors, and the general Public.
Inadequate infrastructure; Broad Band Internet connection is still expensive in Nigeria, at the average of 1G for N=1,000=00, so how many Schools can afford to continuously pay this? Poor storage facilities to safely keep the Hardwares to protect them from theft, excessive heat, rain and moist.
Solutions will include ( but not limited to) the following;
More reliable and constant power supply should be attained first.
Funding of the Education Sector is critical to our development. Education Sector should be declared "an emergency" in the real sense of it, with the Government matching words with actions. Government should also explore deeper a monitored Public Private Partnership window to get investments into education.
The brain drain of ICT Technicians can be drastically reduced if they are offered better working conditions and welfare.
Teachers in the Private Schools should be trained "free of charge", if we really want mass participation and to make progress.
Teachers in Public and Private Schools should be properly trained on the various e - platform opportunities before the installation of this e - curriculum.
People should be engaged in a serious dialogue on this issue on social media, print media, audiovisual media, audio media, visual realities media etc. The more people talk about it, the more popular it will be, the more Government will get feedbacks on how to improve it,  the more the Stakeholders will be willing to get more involved, and best of all is, the more our children benefit from this e - curriculum.
From: IFY  NWOBOSI  ANATUNE.
