    PROBLEMS

    1. Qualitative and Functional Education

    2. Security

    3. Unemployment

    4. Boko haram Issue

    5. Power and Energy .

    SOLUTIONS

    1. Qualitative and Functional Education: The two-fold reforms in the educational sector will ensure firstly the minimum acceptable international standards of education for all. With that achieved, a strategic educational development plan will ensure excellence in both the tutoring and learning of skills in science and technology by students who will be seen as the future innovators and industrialists of Nigeria. This reform will be achieved through massive injection into the Education sector.

    2. Security: An unfriendly security climate precludes both external and internal investment into the nation. Thus, security will be seen as not only a constitutional requirement but also as a necessary infrastructure for the development of a modern Nigerian economy. With its particular needs, the security, marshaled not with physical policing or military security, but through honest and accurate dialogue between the people and the Federal Government.

    3. Unemployment: I think the problem of unemployment is not just from our higher institution of learning. We must be ready to also check the retirement age of our working class citizens. It may interest you to know that some retired workers are employed a second time instead of going to invest in a business and give the younger once who jusr graduated the opportunities to be employed. The retirement age should be streamlined. Moreso, we must be ready to check the grass-root. The kind of graduates produced from our universities these days is nothing to write home about. How can a graduate of Accounting not be able to plot a single column cash book? What do you say about a graduate teacher who cannot write a lesson note? What do you also say of a Chemist who do not know what enzymes are? I can tell you that these set of people would definitely remain unemployed because it is obvious they cannot fit into any area. Specialization is also important that we take into cognizance. If you read Agricultural Science, go to your area of specialization instead of working in the Bank. This way, we can make things work. Government can also help these jobless youths to join the police and Army instead of becoming nuisance in society. Industries must also be built in states.

    4. Bokoharam Issue:10. Involve civilian peace building organizations (military and police cannot build peace): Uniformed personnel are never peace builders. The government needs to urgently involve local and international peace building organizations, including NGOs, CSOs, etc. to design peace building initiatives for the NE.

Our nation stands on the rim of crisis. A stupendous national disaster beckons. But this current leadership can help avert disaster if they wake up to what true governance is. The time for excuses and half-measures is long past. The well being of the nation hangs in the balance. If we do not act decisively, the demands of the moment will find us wanting and history will issue a terrible verdict against us. We seek to protect this nation and her children. We seek to establish a legacy that shows the feats to which this nation can aspire when it stands united and strong against the threat of evil. We seek to make Nigeria a land where no one will ever have to demand that our girls be returned because in a better, more secure Nigeria they never will be taken!

    5. Power and Energy : The infrastructural reforms in this critical sector through the development of sufficient and adequate power supply will be to ensure Nigeria’s ability to develop as a modern economy and an industrial nation by the year.
