Nigerian Medical Association {NMA}Members are on strike. The Judiciary Workers are on strike. Is it only by strike that welfare issues, Industrial and Labour disputes can be resolved? Why does the Government usually wait for a group or union to go on a Nation wide strike before attending seriously to them or give them full audience?
Whatever happened to that little but heavy phrase "ROUND TABLE DISCUSSION"? Going by our experience in Nigeria, the two or more parties involved finally end up at a round [oval, rectangular, square etc] table for serious discussions, negotiations with mediators to broker PEACE.
I don't believe in this strike thing. All it does is waste valuable time that would to achieve something worthwhile. Issues should be discussed nd solutions dished out.
